Reputation and Professional Status

Learning outcomes

After completing Reputation and Professional Status, the learner will be able to:

Scientific definition

Reputation effect is a change in expectation or interpretation of ambiguity caused by prior source status. Reputation may matter outside adjudication but does not establish quality in the current event.

Within CAMS, Reputation and Professional Status is studied through detection of contextual and prior-information effects on the decision. The process fixes Reputation before the outcome appears, measures Expectation inside a declared window, and documents Ambiguity as a repeatable procedure. Double standard determines how the result moves from observation to authorized decision.
